Skydiving

Last night we celebrated Mark's dad's birthday by going to Sky Venture in Denver for indoor skydiving. I was SO MUCH FUN!! It is nothing like I expected it to be, but in a good way. You don't get that drop in your stomach that you expect, it is actually very tiring trying to hold the flying position, and 2 minutes fly time is a lot longer than you expect it to be. I think it might have even convinced Mark to go real skydiving with me...maybe in Hawaii?!?! Here is a pic of all of us after we flew (I know your jealous of our awesome outfits!):

I scream, you scream, we all scream

for ICE CREAM!!!

I made my first batch of homeade ice cream last night, I tried a sugar free, coconut milk, strawberry ice cream. I was very tasty...of course...it's ice cream! It wasn't as creamy as I like my ice cream but it was still delish! I will definitely be experimenting with more flavors :-)

So proud of myself...

...I have successfully completed one month without eating any refined sugar!!!!! In the process I drank only water....and tea, but close enough that I am calling it that I only drank water for one month.

WOW, I need to catch up

Basil Flats in Longmont is my new favorite restaurant. I can get anything from pizzas to sandwiches GLUTEN FREE and they taste great! So far my favorite is the Falefel Wrap, oh so yummy :-)

I have been diligently saving my money and I have saved over $5,000, so do you know what that calls for??? A trip to Hawaii!!!! We are going to Oahu (the only island in Hawaii I haven't been to) and I am SOOO excited, I REALLY need a vacation!

For years I have been going with my mom to do Christmas shopping for an "Adopt-A-Family". I really enjoy that time I get to spend with my mom, I enjoy picking out the clothes, shoes, toys or whatever else the family might be asking for. Sadly, they are usually asking for the basics like winter clothes, boots, socks etc. I think that this is a great way to give back to the community and help those in need, so this year I decided to "adopt" a person of my own. Mark and I received a request from an elderly woman in need of a vacuum, dish towels and a journal. I am so glad that we were able to help her and I sure this will become a tradition for Mark and I.

Magnolia

Earlier this month we went to Mark's company Christmas party. It was held at Magnolia restaurant in Lafayette. The food was delicious and the service was great! Another new restaurant that I am sure we will be visiting again!

Radda

I received a gift card for Radda Trattoria, an Italian restaurant in Boulder. I had never been there but had heard good things about their food. I got a delicious gluten-free pasta dish with alfredo sauce, mushrooms and onions, the best part about it was that the noodles weren't mushy (which frequently happens with gluten-free pasta) and they tasted great! I will definitely be going back to try more of their GF food!

It feels so good to get organized!

Last weekend I got the motivation to organize ALL of our files, going back to 2005. It took a few (long) hours, but it was totally worth it in the end! It feels SO good to get organized and I am definitely keeping it this way!
